History
The Beaverhead Travel Company got its start when a former Beaverhead County High School teacher, Blakely Hay, created a travel group to Peru. They worked hard raising money for their trip only for it to be cancelled by COVID. Their hard work and money they raised went unused.
The Beaverhead Travel Company picked up where they left off and have now made this group community based. We aim to provide educational travel opportunities for our community members.
The hopes for the future are to make travel happen once a year to a different destination. So far, two trips have been planned with a third in the works. The destinations will change based on desire.
Meet Our Travelers
Daelen and Paeden Hammer
"I am apart of the Beaverhead Travel Company because I have always loved traveling. When Ms. Plutt told me about this opportunity, I couldn't help but feel excited and I knew that I couldn't wait to experience this adventure. I also knew that I needed my best freind and sister to experience this with me. We have always been big into traveling and exploring, there's not a time in the summer when we aren't traveling or exploring somewhere or something. I love to see other places and learn about different cultures to fuel my curiosity. We are also lucky enough to be going somewhere which is part of our heritage, as we are both quarter Italian. I just can't wait to go and expereince the world with my friends, teachers, and sister."
Micaiah Kizzar
"Hi, I'm Micaiah. I've wanted to go to a different country ever since I can remember and coincidentally, Italy and Greece are near the top of my list. Going to these foreign countries, I guarantee, will give me a new perspective on world affairs and how other countries operate compared to the United States. It will further improve my learning and education in whatever field I pursue. This can also help the community indirectly by bringing attention to Dillon and creating new opportunities for students to go on more educational trips in the future.
